Back in 2014, the 10th anniversary of Warcraft, World of Warcraft was released. Over the years, through many patches and expansions, we have the game as we know it today. However, many have waxed nostalgia for that old, original WoW, and Blizzard is giving it. Enter World of Warcraft: Classic, which will be available free with your existing subscription to World of Warcraft. Starting in patch 1.12, with minimal quality of life upgrades, we will be able to re-live vanilla. Launching Summer, 2019.
So, OTG, what do you think?! Do we want it? Are we excited? Are we gonna play?
I will probably play. What I would LOVE to see is a PROGRESSION server where one of the following will happen:
The server will progress every “x” months to a few years
or
Players can lock themselves to a release IE: "Okay guild, lock yourselves to Cataclysm; we’re going to raid the crap out of it. Once all our guildmates have raided it, we’ll move on to the next one. Etc.
Have classic vanilla for ever will be boring, in my humble opinion. I actually still love WoW. My problem is that the game is TOO easy. Even my wife who had never played a PC or console game found it too easy; which speaks volumes. I want to see old, difficult WoW once again. I want to see progression as well. THAT will hook me for sure.
