Is there any interest in Classic WoW?

I’m tempted to try it, though possibly not as my original first toon, a resto druid. I don’t really want to go back to:

  • no OOC rez
  • leveling without spellpower gear
  • kitty druid bleeds not working on skellies and dead guys
  • waiting until 40 for a mount and grinding my butt off to scrap up enough money to buy one

I couldn’t even afford a guild tabard until I was 30 or so, IIRC, and that was only 1g!

It still sounds tempting, though, so I imagine I’ll be lured for a time.

Well the good news is if you have the current game, you will also get access to Classic at no extra charge. So it’s there for people to check out and make their own decisions on what they do and don’t like :grinning:

I’ll be checking it out. I started wow just when 2.4 launched. Fury of the Sunwell so I never got to play the base game.

I remember the hitting the lvl for a mount. So excited. Going to the vender. Finding out how much money I was going to have to have to buy it. That was just one of those gaming moments I will never forget staring at the screen in disbelief, I was so close but so far.

I do want to see the places again. I hope they layout a bit more info on what the longer term plans are. If I am going to just grind to a cap and be done, then I may as well do world quests. Not sure yet.

Vanilla player here that can’t wait to play Classic. I legit quit after Cataclysm only coming back a few times for no more than a month. I like alot of the new systems they have added but it doesn’t make up for the changes that I hate. Leveling, talent trees, and the overall feel of my favorite characters changed so much that I have no desire to play current WOW.

So far I know they intend to release the end game raids in stages/spread out.
